NETSCAPE ANNOUNCES LEADING INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS FOR NETSCAPE 6 SIDEBAR FEATURE

Key Industry Players Including eBay, Le Monde interactif, ConSors Discount-Broker, Asahi Shimbun and Lastminute.com Create My Sidebar Tabs for Direct and Easy Access to Regional, Local Language Content

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. April 6, 2000 - Netscape Communications, a subsidiary of America Online, Inc. (NYSE: AOL) today announced the line up of leading international partners who have developed Tabs for My Sidebar, one of the key customization options of its revolutionary new browser, Netscape® 6. Through these partnerships, My Sidebar makes it easier and more convenient to access timely, same language information from top sites throughout the world.

Consumers can set up My Sidebar - which remains on the screen as long as the user is online. Located on the left side of the browser's interface, My Sidebar gives users a convenient place to keep the online functions and information they rely on most in one place, giving them the power to customize the Internet. Users can read the latest news, set up custom stock portfolios, check their Buddy List or Web Mail, track auctions or listen to music. Additionally, My Sidebar refreshes itself automatically to reflect updated news and information throughout the day making sure that access to the most up to date information is hassle free.

My Sidebar is completely open to any developer and is launching with nearly 500 tabs, some developed by Netscape and most by third parties. Some of the key international companies making their content available on the Sidebar include; multinational partners (eBay and lastminute.com); British partners (Interactive Investor International, Job Track Online and Stocktrade); German partners (ConSors Discount-Broker, Direkt Anlage Bank AG, investorworld, Ticket Online); French partners (alafolie.com and Le Monde interactif); Japanese partners (Arukikata Travel, Asahi Shimbun, Bargain America, Rakuten Inc. and Weather Eye); and a Canadian partner (Cyberworld). These international partnerships open the door to Netscape users all over the world by providing them access to a much wider range of local, language specific Web-based information.
