Sun-Netscape Alliance Professional Services Selects Mercury Interactive Testing Tools to Help Customers Deploy Successful E-Commerce Applications

SUNNYVALE, CALIF. (August 16, 1999) - Mercury Interactive Corporation (Nasdaq: MERQ), a leading provider of enterprise application testing solutions, and the Sun-Netscape Alliance today announced that Alliance Professional Services will adopt Mercury Interactive's testing software to assist in isolating and resolving end-user performance issues as customers deploy enterprise and e-commerce applications. Alliance Professional Services will also offer testing with consultants certified as Mercury Interactive product specialists.

Alliance Professional Services will utilize LoadRunner and WinRunner WebTest in client engagements. LoadRunner is a load testing tool that predicts system behavior and performance by exercising an entire enterprise infrastructure. Integrated real-time monitors in LoadRunner help enable organizations to minimize test cycles, optimize performance and accelerate deployment. WinRunner WebTest is a functional testing tool that verifies Web applications work as expected the first time and remain reliable.
