MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (February 17, 1999) - Netscape Communications Corporation
(NASDAQ: NSCP) today announced that it has teamed up with AOL's Entertainment Asylum, where the fans meet the stars online, to provide movie- and television-related content and services for the Netscape Movie and TV sub-channels on Netscape Netcenter. The new Netscape Movie and TV sub-channels join the redesigned and enhanced Netscape Entertainment Channel, which features general entertainment coverage, the Celebrities sub-channel programmed by Entertainment Tonight Online, and the Music sub-channel, programmed by JAMtv Corporation's Rolling Stone Network. Building on the success and favorable customer reaction to the existing programming, the new Entertainment channel features an Entertainment Planner that provides users with everything they need in one location to plan an evening or weekend including movie listings, TV listings, concert happenings, and local dining information, and a What's
Coming area that features a look at what is coming out in theaters, TV, video, CD-ROM and DVD. The channel has been redesigned to offer consumers an easier-to-use look that gives them more planning tools and utility right up front.
