Netscape's Leading Internet Portal Will Integrate When.com's Online Calendaring Service to Provide Free Calendar Features and Event Listings to Millions of Consumers

(January 12, 1999) - When.com and Netscape Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: NSCP) today announced an agreement to deliver free calendaring services and event listings to millions of Netcenter members. The new Netscape Calendar service will be featured on Netscape Netcenter's integrated communications service, Netscape Contact, and will allow members to keep a personalized calendar and automatically track events of interest from a directory of 500,000 events. When.com today also announced the official launch of Version 1.0 of its service, after a period of extensive consumer testing and feedback.
Netscape Calendar by When.com is a free Internet calendaring service that seamlessly integrates comprehensive event information with private personal calendars, enabling anyone online to receive updates on events that are important to them. The service also works as a personal calendar and scheduling application for appointments and activities that can be accessed from anywhere at anytime through the Internet.
