NETSCAPE BUSINESS JOURNAL BY INDIVIDUAL PROVIDES BUSY PROFESSIONALS WITH HIGHLY TARGETED, COMPREHENSIVE ONLINE BUSINESS NEWS AND MARKET INFORMATION

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. and BURLINGTON, Mass. (November 24, 1997) -- Netscape Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: NSCP) and Individual, Inc. (Nasdaq: INDV) today launched a co-branded service, Netscape Business Journal by Individual. The program, developed and managed by Individual, is a one-stop business center that is a key part of Netcenter, Netscape's online service.

Available immediately, Netscape Business Journal by Individual provides highly relevant, up-to-date personalized information organized by industry, company and topic. Located at Netscape's Internet site - the Web's leading site for business users according to Media Metrix's September report - Netscape Business Journal by Individual can be accessed at http://home.netscape.com/netcenter/businessjournal/

Business Journal features customized briefs from hundreds of branded news sources; corporate and market intelligence from a database of 65,000 U.S. companies; breaking industry news from wire services; information on management trends; and highly-targeted information in vertical industries . Launched just two months ago, Netscape Netcenter already has more than 1.7 million members.

"Netscape Business Journal by Individual is a compelling and useful service that delivers reliable business information and services to busy professionals," said Michael E. Kolowich, chairman, president and chief executive officer at Individual. "Unlike other online programs, Business Journal is focused exclusively on the business and professional user. This initial service is a great start and will only get better as we add valuable new services, new partners, and new content options. We expect to aggressively extend and redefine the concept of an online business resource and information center."

Netscape introduced the Netcenter online service in September as part of its strategy to provide busy professionals with the best software, content and community resources on the Internet. Since its launch, Netscape has expanded Netcenter to include commerce offerings in addition to the three original service areas. Individual, Inc. was selected to organize and build Business Journal - which will be featured in the content section of Netscape Netcenter, and will provide its members with personalized online business resources and services from one convenient location.

"Netscape Business Journal by Individual is a key component of the Netscape Netcenter online service," said Jennifer Bailey, vice president of Netscape's Web site. "Our relationship with Individual allows us to provide millions of Internet users with easy access to one of the best and most comprehensive business information resources found anywhere on the Web."

Business Journal includes new content developed by Individual, and existing content which leverage Individual's current Web products and information provider relationships.

The four main components of the new service are:

Netscape Business Journal by Individual has a tiered pricing structure, with many services supported by advertising and free to the user.
