OREM, Utah (October 29, 1997) -- As its Netscape Enterprise Server for NetWare, Netscape Messaging Server for NetWare and NetScape FastTrack for NetWare shipped to customers for beta testing, Novonyx today announced its plans to ship the complete set of Netscape SuiteSpot intranet servers for the NetWare platform by year-end 1998.
Novonyx also announced a partnership with Oracle, the industry's leading supplier of database software and Novonyx's preferred database partner, to include a full development and deployment version of the Oracle database in its Enterprise Pro Server solution. The Enterprise Pro edition of the Netscape Enterprise Server for NetWare offers native database integration, enabling businesses to use their NetWare platform as a Web-based application server that provides transparent database access via the Netscape Enterprise Web server.

NOVONYX WEB AND MESSAGING SOLUTIONS BUILD STANDARDS-BASED INTRANETS
Novonyx, formed jointly by Netscape Communications Corp. (NASDAQ:NSCP) and Novell, Inc. (NASDAQ:NOVL) in June 1997, adapts and sells Netscape's SuiteSpot Internet and intranet solutions for Novell's NetWare 4 network operating system. JAVASCRIPT SUPPORT AND WEB DATABASE ACCESS KEY TO NOVONYX WEB SOLUTION
The Netscape Enterprise Server for NetWare brings JavaScript to the NetWare platform for the first time, enabling NetWare customers to use JavaScript to create Web applications for their corporate intranets. Novonyx's Enterprise Pro solution uses JavaScript to provide native Web-based database access from the NetWare platform.

REMAINING SERVERS PLANNED FOR 1998
Following the shipment of its Enterprise, Messaging and FastTrack Servers, Novonyx will complete the full set of Netscape SuiteSpot Servers for NetWare in 1998:
