The three subsidiaries will facilitate partnerships with key Internet customers in such areas as telecommunications, media/publishing and financial services to offer complete online solutions for the European marketplace. In addition, Netscape's international subsidiaries will support value-added resellers, systems integrators and local and worldwide OEM partners to deliver Netscape products throughout Europe. Netscape's European pressence will allow for European fulfillment and manufacturing, product localization and training.
Netscape offers a full line of open software for corporate applications, electronic commerce, and encrypted information exchange on enterprise networks and the Internet. The software line includes four product families: Netscape Navigator client software, Netscape server software, Netscape Internet Applications and Netscape development tools. The products deliver encrypted communications, advanced performance and point-and-click simplicity to companies and individuals who want to create or access network-based information services. The products are based on industry-standard protocols and are fully compatible with the installed base of HTTP-based clients and servers. Netscape Navigator client software is currently available in English, French, German and Japanese versions.
