AT&T WORLDNET(sm) SERVICES TO DISTRIBUTE NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR(tm) TO CUSTOMERS FOR EASY INTERNET ACCESS AND NAVIGATION

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (August 15, 1995) -- Netscape Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: NSCP) today announced that it has signed an agreement with AT&T that will make Netscape software products available to AT&T customers and for internal use at AT&T. As part of the agreement, AT&T WorldNet Services will distribute a co-branded version of Netscape Navigator software to its customers, making it easy for PC and Macintosh users to sign up for and use the new AT&T WorldNet Services for Internet access.

As part of the agreement, AT&T has entered into an enterprise-wide internal use license for Netscape products, including Netscape Navigator and Netscape servers. The agreement also enables AT&T to distribute Netscape server software with AT&T's computer products to customers worldwide who want to create a presence on the Internet.

"This agreement with AT&T is another step toward our goal of establishing Netscape technology as the premier open software platform for information exchange and business on global networks," said Jim Barksdale, president and CEO of Netscape. With AT&T integrating Netscape software with its value-added capabilities and customer support, many new users worldwide will be able to enjoy the same easy-to-use, open, and secure software products that are already in use on the Internet today for online communications and commerce."

"Our strategy is to provide the best capabilities available to make the Internet easily accessible for everyone," said Tom Evslin of AT&T. "Netscape is a leader in Internet software technology and has demonstrated continuing openness and innovation in its approach to the Internet. By combining our network and integration expertise and Netscape's client software, together we will quickly provide the best value and the richest capabilities to our customers."

AT&T announced today that it would distribute a co-branded, pre-configured version of Netscape Navigator that will make it simple for PC and Macintosh users to sign up and use AT&T WorldNet Services from their local area networks or through a dialup connection. AT&T will also support commercial versions of Netscape Navigator.
