(December 11, 1996) -- Expanding its support for the global community of developers building online applications and tools, Netscape Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:NSCP) today introduced Netscape DevEdge ONE News, a service that delivers relevant news and information directly to the electronic mailboxes of developers worldwide at no charge. Launched in conjunction with Netscape SuiteTools, a comprehensive family of tools for building and managing Intranet applications and a new online tools, Netscape DevEdge ONE News is part of a dedicated effort to facilitate broad access to Netscape ONE development resources.

Netscape DevEdge ONE News will take advantage of the company's innovative In-Box Direct electronic distribution technology to deliver useful technical information and analysis automatically to members of Netscape's developer programs. In addition, other interested parties can subscribe to the service at the Netscape DevEdge Online Web site.

Beginning immediately, subscribers will receive two bi-weekly publications:
