TECH DATA AND NETSCAPE ANNOUNCE EXPANDED U.S. DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT

CLEARWATER, Fla. and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (November 11, 1996) -- Tech Data Corp. and Netscape Communications Corp. today announced an agreement to distribute Netscape's full line of client and server software products to Tech Data's 40,000 value-added reseller and retail customers throughout the U.S. In addition to distributing Netscape products, Tech Data will provide pre-sale and post-sale training, service and technical support.

The agreement signifies an expansion of the previous distribution agreement between the two companies. In August, Tech Data began shipping Netscape's retail Internet access products, including Netscape Navigator, one of the most widely used browser products in the world. Now customers also can purchase Netscape's full line of server software, including Netscape SuiteSpot, an integrated suite of server software that enables open e-mail and groupware for intranets.
