MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (October 10, 1996) -- Netscape Communications Corporation today announced that Dr. Eric Schmidt, chief technology officer of Sun Microsystems, will address Netscape developers in a keynote speech on Friday, October 18 at the upcoming Netscape Internet Developers' Conference in New York City. Schmidt joins Marc Andreessen, cofounder and senior vice president of technology at Netscape, as a keynote speaker at the conference.
To open the conference on Wednesday, October 16, Andreessen will provide Netscape developers with a roadmap of Netscape technologies and development opportunities in the Intranet and corporate Web site market. To conclude the conference, Schmidt will cover the future of network communications.
The Netscape Internet Developers' Conference is scheduled for October 16-18, 1996 at the New York Hilton and Towers in New York City, and will focus on developers building enterprise applications and content for corporate Intranets and Web sites. The three-day conference will feature session tracks geared to meet the needs of programmers, MIS professionals, Web masters and intranet application evaluators.
