Netscape's Complete Mother's Day Package Features Popular Interactive Tools for Keeping in Touch with, Buying Gifts for and Honoring Mom

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - May 02, 2001 - Netscape Communications, a subsidiary of AOL, Inc. (NYSE: AOL), today announced a new featured area on Netscape.com that makes it easy to be prepared on Mother's Day. From now through May 13, Netscape's "To Mom, With Love" Mother's Day area makes honoring Mom easy -- and fun.

The featured area includes the "Mama Told Me" player, dispensing audible words of wisdom from moms across the country including such classics as, "Fish and relatives stink after three days" and "Don't go to bed angry." Visitors can utilize a free Netscape Mail account to e-mail Netscape their own 'momisms' to add to the list. Contributors will be automatically entered into a "Mama Told Me" contest. Contest winners will receive luxury items provided by InStyle.com.

Netscape's Mother's Day offering is a comprehensive one-stop location on the Web to remember, recognize and keep in touch with Mom this holiday season. The site offers great ways to keep in touch, including Netscape Mail and Netscape Instant Messenger, as well as Mother's Day-themed content and celebrity stories from InStyle.com, Oxygen, Parenting.com, Better Homes and Gardens and People.com. "To Mom, With Love" will be featured on the Netscape.com home page through May 13.

Jim Bankoff, President of Netscape, said: "Netscape's 'To Mom, With Love' offers a fun way for Netscape visitors to keep in touch with and recognize mom -- whether she lives across town or across the country -- all from one convenient online location. With all the compelling tools and content we're offering, Mom never had it so good."

Netscape's Mother's Day area includes the following content and features:

"Dear Mom"
The "Dear Mom" area is chock full of interactive tools and hints on how to keep in touch with Mom online. Visitors to the "Dear Mom" section will be provided with links to popular Netscape tools such as Netscape Mail and Netscape Instant Messenger, allowing them to send Mom an e-mail or IM, in lieu of, or in addition to the card or phone call they may have already planned.

"Because She's Your Mother"
Planning a pampering spa visit for Mom or organizing a Mother's Day brunch is made easy with the tools and content available on the "Because She's Your Mother" area. Send a virtual Mother's Day card from American Greetings or find the perfect gift on Shop@Netscape.com. "Because She's Your Mother" also features a search tool that lets you locate that perfect brunch spot or Mother's Day happening in your own hometown. Visitors are also encouraged to let the world know how much they love and appreciate their mother by posting a personal tribute or reminiscence on Netscape's "Ode to Mom" message board.

Additionally, "To Mom, With Love" includes content from Netscape featured partner, InStyle.com, such as a celebrity Mother's Day photo gallery featuring celebrity moms like: Susan Sarandon, Gillian Anderson and Sela Ward, among others. Also featured on the front page is the Mother's Head to Toe Pampering Kit - a guide to giving Mom a day of decadent indulgence at home or at the spa -- from Oxygen.com.
