Set in the idyllic, small island town of "Glory Island" in the Pacific Northwest where eerie events and bizarre happenings are an everyday occurrence, "Glory Days" brings a scary murder mystery to the small screen each week. The main character, a down-on-his-luck writer named Mike Dolan, played by Eddie Cahill, returns to his hometown after having trashed it and its inhabitants in a best-selling novel about the events surrounding his own father's supposedly accidental death. Mike doesn't exactly get a hero's welcome upon his return, and soon gets embroiled in the mysteries lurking beneath the calm exterior of Glory Island. "Glory Days," from Kevin Williamson, creator of "Scream" and "Dawson's Creek," launched successfully in January for The WB and airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c.
As part of the "Glory Days" feature, Netscape.com and CompuServe allow users to show their hometown pride and build a free Web page about where they live -- the good, bad and the just plain strange. Netscape's newly launched "My Web Page" tool makes it easy to create your own Web page in a few easy steps. How weird or wonderful are your neighbors? Head to the "Hometown Hall of Fame" and rave about the "Hometown Hero" or rant about the "Village Idiot". Here's your chance to spill the beans on your un-neighborly townspeople, or shout from the mountaintop about a local hero. (No real names, please!).
Also on the Netscape.com and CompuServe Entertainment Channels, visitors can find a host of "Glory Days" interactive content and links to the sweepstakes in a special area dedicated to the show. Browse the photo gallery to meet the cast and learn more about the characters. Have a fascination with unsolved mysteries or wish you were a super sleuth? Use the message boards to talk about your all-time favorite mystery books, movies and series and give feedback on what you think of "Glory Days".
"We're giving fans a whole new way to learn about 'Glory Days' and a chance to get a close-up glimpse into its mystery," said Jim Bankoff, president of AOL Web Properties. "We look forward to bringing the suspense of the show to the widest audience on the Internet."
