Netscape and Netopia Roll Out E-Stores for Netscape Netcenter Small Business Channel

The Company said it will organize into four Product Groups: The Interactive Services Group, the Interactive Properties Group, the Netscape Enterprise Group, and the AOL International Group. Netscape Closes Acquisition of AtWeb
(January 6, 1999) Netscape has closed the acquisition of AtWeb Inc., a leading online services company. Netscape issued 3.36 million shares of Netscape stock to purchase 100 percent of AtWeb stock and options. The company has accounted for this transaction as a pooling of interests. Founded in 1996, Sunnyvale-based AtWeb is a privately held company. Netscape plans to maintain AtWeb as its wholly owned subsidiary, with AtWeb reporting into the Netscape Netcenter division.
